✧ Sew your own costume with this print-at-home sewing pattern with English Instructions! This comprehensive pattern includes the following files in Women's UK sizes 8-30:
 
Sewing pattern pdfs for The Blouse, Skirt and scarf that can be printed on A4 or Letter paper
Vector files for appliques/embellishments use with cutting machines/vectoring software
English instructions with photos and helpful guidance and material suggestions
Printing and sizing instructions
 
✧This digital sewing pattern includes ALL of the sizes listed, a size chart can be found in the listing photos. Each size has its own print document and seam allowances are provided. Indigo Patterns is Australian owned, so we predominantly use metric measurements and all files provided are in English only.
 
✧This pattern does not include:
Any physical supplies (eg fabrics, physical paper patterns), this listing is completely digital.
A full costume - we sadly cannot offer fully sewn costumes, but this pattern will help guide you to make your own!
Patterns for accessories or 3d printing files - we love collaborating with creators in the community who specialise in props and 3d printing, links to their supporting work are provided below.
 
✧This sewing pattern is designed with less experienced sewers in mind due to the abundance of newcomers to the cosplay community! However, it does assume some common knowledge and experience with using a sewing machine/patterns in general is something you will need to have. If you're completely new to sewing, I recommend exploring the many helpful youtube videos out there that guide first-time sewers with using a sewing machine, working with a pattern and preparing supplies. Links to resources for trickier techniques however, are provided where relevant and lots of photos are accompanied by detailed explanations in the instructions.
 
✧This pattern is designed for woven, non-stretch fabrics and is not suitable for knit fabrics. Below are some suggestions for fabrics (but these are by no means exhaustive!):
Suiting fabrics, gaberdine, bengaline, or even something as luxurious as a cotton velvet for the skirt fabric.
Your favourite woven decorative fabrics or trims for the gold embellishments.
Shirting fabrics for the blouse - Cotton poplins and sateens are great options.
Lightweight woven fabric for the scarf - Satins or cottons, or decorative fabrics of your choice.
Interfacing for collars, cuffs and waistbands - medium weight woven or non-woven.
Lining fabric

Skirt zipper of your preference
Snaps/preferred closures for rigging/accessories
Trims and rope for embellishments
Optional (but recommended) boning - type of your choice.

Supplies may vary depending on your preferred construction method and favoured materials. You do not need to use the same materials as me!
 
✧This pattern is for personal use only - this includes sewing commissions for costumes by independent creators/small businesses on a made-to-order basis. Please purchase one pattern per costume made for commission work. Commercial use, redistribution and mass production is not permitted.

Below are some Etsy-specific FAQ to help with your purchase. For a much more comprehensive FAQ please visit www.indigopattern.com/faq where you will find assistance with everything from downloading your purchase to common help requests.
 
✧How to Download Your Purchase:
Make sure you are logged in on Etsy when submitting your order. You need to be able to access either your provided email address or your account dashboard to download your files. I cannot change your email address connected to the order so please check before you submit!
You will receive an order confirmation email followed by an email with your download links once the payment has fully processed. This is usually quick, but on occasion takes time to process.
Either click on the link in the email or navigate to 'purchases' in your account dashboard to download your files. You will need to be logged into Etsy on your web browser to access the links. If you are denied access, please make sure you are logged in on that browser! Etsy's app does not currently support direct downloads, so please use your device's web browser instead.
Download your files. We are currently transitioning to providing a pdf with a dropbox folder link for easy downloading of your files. Many of our patterns have lots of files, way larger than Etsy allows, so please enjoy this easier to navigate method of downloading. If you have issues with the links, reach out and they can be easily refreshed for you.
 
✧Printing your patterns:
We strongly recommend using Adobe Acrobat for viewing and printing your patterns. Web browsers and system default readers/printers have become unreliable with updates in regards to accurate printing, which is super important for sewing patterns! Adobe acrobat however, is much more reliable and a great way to view your patterns. You can get Acrobat for free here: https://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/
 
Printing instructions are provided with your files in pdf form and a truing square is printed on page 2 of each of the sewing pattern pdf documents for you to check the scale of your printing. Please give these instructions a read if you have never printed my patterns before!
 
✧Refunds and returns:
Etsy does not allow for change of mind returns on digital download products due to the nature of these products. Please be certain you understand what is included in your purchase, and that returns are not permitted. Please shoot us a message if you have issues with your order though, we are always happy to help!
 
✧Sewing assistance and guidance:
While we are generally happy to assist where possible, due to overwhelming demand for one-on-one assistance from customers with constructing their costume, we are not able to offer extensive help beyond our detailed sewing instructions. Sewing help is provided by one woman army, Kirsty, but she kindly requests that before reaching out for help that you read all of the instructions before you begin cutting your fabric or sewing, search for unfamiliar sewing terms on google or YouTube (which will often provide awesome video walkthroughs of techniques!) and have a sneaky peek at her full FAQ linked above. She is happy to push you in the right direction if you get stuck, but can no longer manage extensive one-on-one mentoring for beginner sewers or fabric shopping assistance. Please understand, she's doing her best and loves to help everyone learn but is getting stretched way too thin and it is affecting her work/life balance and general work quality ❤️
